Gregory Khan Named to 2007 All-WVIAC Men’s Soccer Team

Sophomore forward Gregory Khan of Mt. Pleasant, Tobago was named to the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (All-Conference) Men’s Soccer Team for the 2007 season owing to his stellar performance.
Khan, a first team selection, led the Shepherd University Rams in scoring with 13 goals and an assist for 27 points. The Rams finished this season with a 7-8-1 record overall.
Yearwood Named to Southern Conference All-Conference Team

Foreign-based played Kareem Yearwood, the Southern Conference’s (SoCon) leading scorer with 12 goals in hte 2007 regular season, was selected as a first-team forward this past week.
Yearwood, a sophomore from Sou Sou Lands, Tobago, leads the SoCon and the team in points with 25. Earlier this week he was ranked as 25th in the NCAA Division I in points-per-game (1.47) and 14th in goals-per-game (.71). Yearwood’s efforts have earned him the top spot in the conference goals-per-game and game-winning goals as well.
On Saturday 10th, Yearwood added another goal to his tally as he scored first for College of Charleston in their 3-1 victory over Georgia Southern. College of Charleston will now advance to the semi-finals of the tournament.
Javon Carrington Acknowledged

Foreign-based footballer Javon Carrington, who attends Georgia State University, was acknowledged recently for his performance on the field.
Javon, a senior on the field, by eligibility, moved to the Panthers this year as a transfer from Concordia College (Selma, Alabama) where he was a stellar defender. He has played in all 15 games for the Panthers this year and has been tapped as an impact player for the team.
This year he has been essential to the Panthers in the backfield helping to defend the goal, contributing to six back saves and three shutouts on the season. Javon is pursuing a degree in managerial sciences and a minor in marketing.
