Former Coaching Schooler and National Team captain Dwight Yorke, was included in the Coca-Cola Championship Team of the Week following his performance and goal in Sunderland’s 2-0 win over Coventry City, this past Saturday.
Yorke’s first half header, helped Sunderland to stretch their unbeaten run to five league games and edge a point nearer to the play-off zone. Incidentally, the game’s second goal came from another Trinidad and Tobago standout, Carlos Edwards.
In Addition, Stern John made his debut for the Black Cats (Sunderland AFC) also during this game, after completing his transfer from the opponent, Coventry City.
