Former Coaching Schooler, Kennya Cordner (Speyside, Tobago), who now campaigns with the Northampton Laurels, scored her second goal of the season this past weekend in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
After suffering a 3-0 away defeat to the formidable Boston Aztecs last week, the Northampton Laurels regrouped and came away with a 2-1 victory over Mid-Atlantic rivals Maryland Pride at the Western Regional Park Complex in Woodbine, Maryland on Sunday.
The Laurels went down to Maryland 1-0 early on in the game, but Kennya leveled the playing field with an equalizer. The game’s winning goal came from Trinidad and Tobago National player Maylee Attin-Johnson.
