Diego NicholsonDiego Nicholson’s dashing near post header in the 75th minute secured St. Clair Coaching School 2-nil victory over Bethel United. Nicholson was crowned the man of the match by the coach Bertille St. Clair for displays of skillful attacking play throughout the game. His hard work paid dividends in the 75th, to stamp Coaching School’s authority on home soil.

Bethel conceded an own-goal in the 5th minute from a deflection in the penalty area following a firm left sided cross. However, they mounted a resolute counter and placed Coaching School’s defense on guard with a series of attacking football. Bethel earned a penalty early in the 2nd half, but excellent goalkeeping by Nicholas Roberts affirmed that Coaching School was still in the game.

Coaching School regained momentum in the final minutes with consecutive attacks on Bethel goalkeeper; national team standout Makan Hislop, fired a powerful 30-yard grass-cutter, which proved to be quite a challenge for the Bethel custodian.

The second leg is scheduled for the 8th June at Bethel.
