St Clair Coaching School (SCCS) defeated Phoenix 4-3 on penalties to secure the SCCS Invitational Cup, after an 80th minute equalizer by Trevin Caesar to lock the game at 1-1.
Phoenix striker Shelton Williams scored in the 57th with a deceptive play that sent both keeper and defender away from the open goal. However, it was Trevin Caesar’s 80th minute equalizer that brought the Dwight Yorke Stadium in an uproar. Deft dribbling skills and quick feet saw Wilson weaving himself through five of Phoenix’s defenders and launching a powerful right-footer pass the goalkeeper.
The event was hosted by SCSS with invitees from Charlotteville, La Brea and Phoenix FC on May 18–19, as a warm-up for the Tobago Football League 2007. Coaching School captain, Tyrone Walters, collected the winner’s trophy on behalf of the team
