This may be a little late to press, but we’ve just been informed that former national player and Coaching School standout Richard Goddard has transfered from the Toronto Lynx, to the other side of the North American continent, to the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Richard previously played with the Toronto Lynx for the past three seasons (United Soccer League), and held his ground in eight games for the Lynx last year posting a 1W-4L-2T record with two shutouts.
In 2002, Richard played his first season in the USL-1 with the Charlotte Eagles and in 2001 he played with the Ottawa Wizards of the Canadian Professional Soccer League.
Prior to playing in the professional leagues, Richard attended Roberts Wesleyan College (Rochester, New York) from 1997 to 2000 Goddard (with former Coaching Schooler Roger Groome) and was the starting keeper for the Raiders (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics).
Expect to see more on Richard’s progress here.
