Foreign-based and former T&T National player Hayden ‘Bert’ Fitzwilliam added yet another accolade to his already long list, when his Real Toronto team won the 2008 Ontario Soccer League (OSL) Championship on September 14th (Vaughan, ON).
Fitzwilliams spurred the Toronto team forward in the 41st minute with a well-placed header from a corner-kick set play. The skies opened in the second-half of the game, making for a slippery encounter between both teams, but Real Toronto held steady to eventually win 2-1 over London A.E.K. Read more about this story.\
Real Toronto will now move on to the National Championship (October 8th to 13th, 2008) in New Foundland, where they will play against other championship teams from various provinces.
