St. Clair to oversee talent identification sessions in Tobago.

Former national head coach Bertille St Clair will assist the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation in its talent identification program for National Under 20 and Under 16 men’s players by overseeing the process in the sister isle of Tobago over the next few weeks.

Some of this country’s more recognized past national players and present day coaches have already began assessing players in Trinidad at sessions taking place at the Ato Boldon Stadium and St Clair, who guided this country to the 1991 FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Portugal, will take now take charge of the sessions in Tobago.

According to Raymond Alleyne, President of the Tobago Association, St Clair will assemble a group of coaches to assist in the sessions which take place in at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet and the Cyd Gray Complex, Roxborough at dates to be announced within a week’s time.

Kelly Ann Baptiste is presented with an honorary Coaching School jersey

Kelly Ann Baptiste visited St.Clair’s Coaching School on Saturday 15 October, 2011.  During her visit, she gave a  motivational speech to the students and parents, and then she spent time answering questions from those attending.

Ms. Baptiste also assisted in presenting medals to the Under 10 (U10) footballers of  the Coaching  School who placed second  in the All Sports Promotion’s U-10 Caribbean Competition, which was held  in Barbados on the 27th and 28th of  September  2011.

Ms  Baptiste was presented with a St. Clair’s Coaching School jersey with her name inscribed on the back of the jersey with number 1 (signifying that she is the #1 sprinter in the world).

Ms. Baptiste then signed pictures of herself for students, parents and visitors of the Coaching School.

 

Tobago’s Nadia Gruny Etches a Ton Into History Books

Former Coaching Schooler Nadia Gruny, is making a name for herself in the United States.  According to USA Women’s Cricket News, the Tri-State Lynx appears to showcase a different star on their team each outing.

This past weekend it was Nadia Gruny scoring only the second century (107 not out) in US history by a female player.
